Looking for a classic grean bean casserole recipe? I haven't had a chance to test this yet, but people have been raving about the recipe that's on the back of TJ Fried Onion Pieces. It uses green beans, portobello mushroom soup (new item), and fried onion that's only available this time of year. If you get a chance to test it out, please report back, especially if you think of twists on the classic.
And if you're looking for a truly low-stress way to do Thanksgiving, read here for one example of how to simplify and get it all done in one afternoon.

We just had this Roasted Turkey Breast the other night and it was very good, especially doused in TJ's turkey gravy. But -- as a photography student, I have to say you really need better lighting for your photographs. It's obvious that you take these shots in florescent light (normal kitchen light) which gives off a yellow tinge, and makes the food look sickly. Try correcting the white balance on your camera, or shoot in incandescent light, or even outdoors! Just a friendly tip.

I made this last year and your instructions were very useful. Thank you so much for reminding me about it this year. The stuffed breast is a nice and elegant way to serve and enjoy a smaller Thanksgiving meal. (PS - I personally think the photo looks great too. Juicy with a gorgeous crust. Totally yum!)

I made the "No Bake Pumpkin Cheesecake" for Thanksgiving and while it tasted okay, the appearance was not appetizing... One guest commented that it looked like nacho cheese...

We tried the Trader Joe's Holiday Green Bean & Portobello Mushroom Casserole. Delicious!!! In fact I ran into your blog b/c I was looking up the recipe. I told my mom about it and she couldn't find those Fried Onions at her Trader Joe's. I don't have a scanner and I wanted to just find the recipe online. I have never liked green bean casserole until I had this recipe!
