I bought TJ frozen Italian meatballs, TJ Marinara Sauce, TJ Pamesan Reggiano and of course, TJ Asiago cheese bread. Put frozen meatballs in sauce to simmer, sluced bread diagonally, drizzled TJ evoo. Sliced meatballs in 1./ in slices, topped bread with MB and cheese and put in oven for 15 min. Best super bowl snack. WIped out before game started.

Comment on Almond Bread: Low carb, high protein, gluten-free, and tasty!

I haven't tried them all in this recipe, but you should be able to substitute any sweetener. Honey should work fine. Agave nectar is pretty sweet, so if you use regular sugar, I would use 3 Tbsp instead of 2.
Let me know how it turned out!

Comment on Almond Bread: Low carb, high protein, gluten-free, and tasty!

Can you suggest any substitutes for the agave nectar? I have honey and sugar-beet-syrup (similar in texture to corn syrup). I'd rather not have to buy another sweetener. Would either of those---or a certain amount of sugar or brown sugar---work?

Comment on Chicken Cacciatore

This recipe turned out REALLY well. I forgot to dredge the chicken ahead of time in flour, but it turned out just fine (I will dredge it next time though, just helps keep things together and juicy).

Wife loved it, leftovers the next day were great. AND I have a big frozen chicken carcass waiting for the stock pot still left over!

Comment on Black Beans: Put it on your grocery list!

I love black beans! We eat them at least 1x/week at my house. One of my favorite easy/fast meals is to heat up a can of black beans in a small sauce pan & add a few spices (chili, cumin, cayenne, etc).

While they are simmering, I throw a package of Trader Joe's cheese & green chilies tamales (from the freezer section) in the microwave for 5 min. Top with the beans & other toppings like cheese, salsa, sour cream, etc.

One tamale/half a can of beans is perfect for 1 person.

Comment on Easy but Impressive Holiday Sweets

Although the food is not very healthy but it looks perfect!!!

Comment on TJ-inspired Indian recipes from the "Indian Martha Stewart"

Just want to mention that the handov with the corn bread becomes a little sweet (not sure if all the corn breasd mixes are sweet - i used corn bread for the first time) and handov is not sweet - so if you can handle the sweetness- great easy recipe.

Comment on Beef Stew

Lynne, thanks for catching the typos. I updated the recipe; it's 2 Tbsp olive oil, and do add onions. Good luck!

Comment on Beef Stew

Wow, I wish I had found this 6 hours ago, it's cold here in MD (expecting more snow tonight) and a bigger storm Saturday. So I decided I wanted to make beef stew tonight haven't had it in awhile so I found a recipe, it was "good" but this one I shall try again for the next storm coming through. thanks for the great ideas. I used olive oil ciabatta bread that topped it off.

Comment on Chicken Cacciatore

I love mushrooms with chicken wanna try this recipe
